Story behind The Brenham Barn:

Out on a day trip with my friend Pat, we cruised the countryside in my beater red pick-up. It was spring and besides photographing barns, we stopped several time to capture wild flowers at their peak. After filling our pockets with seedpods, Pat said, “Hey, let’s try this road, it looks like a good one.” Unpaved and narrow, it had to be. About half way down, we realized there was no more going forward and backed out for over a mile. Stopping to rest the crick forming in my neck, I spotted this old barn with the rusted silo, stopped the truck, and waded through tall grass to get the shot. Pat screamed the whole time, “You’re going to get snake bit! Again.”
